2011 Geiger Mustang GT

Although Ford has a strong handle on the American Muscle Car title with the 2011 Mustang GT, the car is not just for the United States.  A foreign tuner known as Geiger Cars has announced their own special edition 2011 Mustang GT, crammed full of goodies, including a super charger.

Go fast goodies on the 2011 Mustang tuned by Geiger include a 2.3 liter super charger that pushes the 5.0 engine to 500 horsepower.  In addition, Geiger has removed the speed limiter and claim a top speed now of up 170 mph.

In addition to power add ons, Geiger has outfitted the 2011 Mustang with some new shoes.  The rims are called OZ Ultralegerra and are extremely light weight, but not small on size.  Wheel sizes for the front are 8.5″ x 20″ and 10″x20″ in the back.  The wheels set the 2011 Mustang GT off from the rest of the pack and will hopefully continue to popularize the Pony car in Europe.

How Much For DUB Package?

The price has been set at $3,699, which is in addition to the standard 2011 Mustang V6 price.  The DUB package, considered an appearance upgrade, is designed and installed through the help of Ford, DUB Magazine, and even Roush.  Featuring body kit, rims, fancy trim, and banners, this is one slick V6 upgrade package.

As mentioned, the DUB Package is almost entirely appearance oriented, there is still one performance option included.  The gear ratio has been upgraded in the 2011 Mustang V6 to 3.31!  This means your 300+ horsepower V6 will be accelerating faster than a stock trim model.  With everything you get, the DUB package is a deal at just $3,699.

2011 Ford Mustang SR-71

Jack Roush and Carroll Shelby are teaming up to make one of the baddest mustangs ever built, the 2011 Mustang SR-71.  Nicknamed the Blackbird, this 2011 special edition Mustang will feature matte black finishes with silver accents, mimicking the USAF aircraft by the same name.

Performance wise the 2011 SR-71 will feature the all new 5.0 liter engine, but will be wearing a 2.3 liter Whipple Twin-Screw supercharger as a hat.  The Whipple supercharger will then be mounted on top of Roush engineered intake, no doubt creating crazy horsepower, which numbers have yet to be released.  Furthermore, enthusiasts will be able to order the SR-71 with Ford Racings handling pack, to complete the special edition Mustang.

Although pictures and specific details about the interior have yet to be released, we do know that the seats will be made by Recaro.  The seats will also be embroidered with the signatures of Jack Roush and Carroll Shelby, making any Mustang fanboy giggle like a school girl.  When it’s all said and done the dashboard will also be decked out with more than enough performance gauges and even a built in navigation system.  This will be one bad 2011 Mustang.

The 2011 Ford Mustang SR-71 is nicknamed the ‘Blackbird’, but should it’s surname be?  A Roulby, a Sheush, or just badass!?

Roush Mustangs At Dealerships

As of yesterday 2011 Roush Mustangs are now on dealer show room floors.  These mean built 2011 Mustangs are a bit more expensive than the stock 2011 GT, but imagine the horsepower and customization differences.  After all, if you were to buy one Mustang in your life, wouldn’t the 2011 Mustang be it?  There is not much more to hold out on, amazing performance, quality handling, and super gas mileage.

The new 2011 Roush Mustang is currently being offered in 3 distinct offerings.  They range from the mildly modified Sport edition, to a Stage 1, and then a race ready Stage 2 setup.  All come equipped with at bare minimum a graphics package and a few engine tweaks, but Ford set the bar high for performance needs.  Considering the stock 2011 Mustang GT pumps out over 400 horsepower, which is more than the 200 model Stage 2 Roush performance Mustang.  All this power is also accomplished by a naturally aspirated engine, bred for a power adder to make the horsepower ratings insane!

Roush 2011 Mustang Sport

The base upgrade and least expensive option for buying a 2011 Roush Mustang.   The Sport edition is equipped with the signature Roush aggressive body panels, including dramatic front bumper, splitters, and rear spoiler.  It’s obvious at first glance that this is no ordinary 2011 Mustang.  Consider the Roush Sport model an appearance upgrade package, which checks in at an additional $4,600.

Roush 2011 Mustang Stage 1

The Stage 1 Roush Mustang builds upon the appearance package of the sport model.  However, this 2011 Roush comes equipped with special rims and tires and Stage 1 badging.  This model Roush would still be considered an appearance upgrade to the stock 2011 Mustang GT, but with some unique Roush only rims.

Roush 2011 Mustang Stage 2

The current cutting edge 2011 Roush Mustang has a focus on suspension and handling.  Although all the apperance goodies from the Stage 1 can be found in the Stage 2, it also includes some suspension components that make the daily drive feel more like a competition slalom.   Specifically, the Roush Stage 2 features a wheel hop reduction kit, which helps transfer those 400+ horses to the ground and make handling performance even better.

Roush has yet to release their pavement eating Stage 3 Mustang, which will no doubt combine all of the 3 available now, with the addition of a power adder.  The Stage 3 usually is a race ready modified Mustang, which performs on the street and the track.  The 3 2011 Roush packages mentioned above range in price from $4,600 to $7,560, plus S/H.

2011 Shelby Mustang The Last?

Last 2011 Shelby Mustang

Rumors are floating around the internet claiming that 2011 will be the last year for the Shelby Mustang.  Although the company is going strong and producing some of the best performance cars on the market, the company has decided to shift gears and focus on selling after market parts instead.  So, if this trend continues the 2011 Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT500 may be the last.

Many industry experts feel the cost to have Shelby build a Mustang has just got too high for most buyers.  The tuned Mustang market has become crowded, with the companies like Saleen and Rousch competing on price and performance.  Restructuring of Shelby International indicates that they will most likely be moving out of that market and focusing on providing parts instead.

Not that this would be a bad thing, because as long as Shelby is building parts there will be a market for those building up high performance Mustangs.  Furthermore, what better way to go out than with the 2011 Mustang?!  Go out on top, with proven high performance Mustang parts, and then sell those off to those looking to build their own modded 2011 Mustang.
